Other Maintenance Settings
These are options in the Dashboard panel related to interface language preferences, bottom navigation buttons, software help documentation, and version updates.
Language Options
System UI Language
The display language of the software interface, supports more than twenty languages, does not affect the language configuration of the translation service.
- Effect: Select your preferred interface language in the dropdown menu on this page, such as English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, etc.
- Note: After switching languages, you need to restart the software to make all interface text updates (including parameter label descriptions), which is different from the immediate生效 mechanism of the translation API.
Global Navigation Bottom Buttons
No matter which settings page you are on, the bottom of the left navigation bar always displays the following three shortcut buttons:
- Online Manual: Jumps to the official documentation in the corresponding language according to the current interface language. Clicking in VR will open through the SteamVR built-in browser; clicking on the desktop will open the system default browser.
- Feedback: When encountering software crashes or functional abnormalities, click to open the feedback form, fill in your device information for developers to troubleshoot.
- Exit: Close and exit the OVR Overlay Translator process. Even if SteamVR is still running, you can separately close this software through this button.

Quick Usage Instructions
Concise operation instructions for use when unable to view the complete documentation in a VR environment.
- Basic Operation Speed Read: Includes core steps such as how to trigger the screenshot frame by bringing the controller close to the head, pulling the trigger to translate, etc.
- Usage Tips: Includes notes such as screenshot frame lighting condition suggestions, text size and display distance, etc.
About and Updates
Version Information and Update Detection
- Current Version: Displays the current software version number.
- Check for Updates: Click to check if a new version is available. If a new version is found, a prompt dialog will pop up for you to choose whether to download the update immediately. The update process includes progress display, and will automatically restart the software after completion. (Note: Steam version users please update through Steam, this feature is only applicable to the independent test version.)
- Auto Check for Updates: After enabling, every time the software starts, it will automatically check in the background whether there is a new version, and actively remind when there is an update.
